Password Protect a Case
Updated over a week ago

Password protect a case so that only assigned staff and those with the password can access the case.

NOTE: This can only be done by firm administrators and those with the User Can Manage Case Password Protection permission.

  • Navigate to the case you want to password-protect.

  • Click the dark green dropdown at the top right of the case

  • Select Password Protect Case.

  • Enter in the password.

  • Click Save.

  • This will create an autonote on the case.

  • The case will now be password protected. Those not assigned on the case will need to enter a password to access the case.

  • Once a password is entered, it will not need to be re-entered for 24 hours, regardless of browser or computer used.

  • A lock icon will show next to password-protected cases in search results.

  • Each time the case is accessed by password, an autonote will be created.
