Here's how to set a case grade.
NOTE: Only firm administrators or users with the User Can Set Case Grades permission can set a case grade for a case. Any user without this permission will have their requested case grade sent to the Case Grade Requests Management screen for approval.
Set a case grade during intake
- Select the + icon to create a new case.
- Select a grade from the Case Grade drop-down menu.
- Add a Case Grade Reason. This is a required field when selecting a case grade.
- Select Save to create the new case along with its case grade.
- The case grade will appear in the Case Index of the new case if added by a user with permission to set a case grade. If a case grade request was sent to the Case Grade Requests Management screen, the grade will appear in the case index once it has been approved.
Set or edit a case grade on an existing case
- Open the existing case and select the green drop-down arrow menu.
- Select Edit Case Grade.
- A pop-up window will appear.
- Select the Grade and enter a Reason.
- Select Save.
- The new or edited case grade will appear in the Case Index of the case if added by a user with permission to set a case grade. If a case grade request was sent to the Case Grade Requests Management screen, the grade will appear in the case index once it has been approved.
