Track the cases that have been referred out and the fees your firm earns.
When a case or intake is offered to another firm, update the Case Status to Referred Open.
When the other firm accepts the case, update the Status to Referred Accepted Open. If you would like to close the case, set the status to Referred Accepted Closed. Depending on the status selected. If the status bar turns red and a red dot appears next to the client's name, the case has been closed out.
When the case status is updated, a pop-up will appear.
Enter the law firm name and referral amount or fee amount.
This information can later be accessed on the new Referred To Tab of the case at the bottom of the tabs.
If a fee is expected, check off the Fee Is Expected field.
Once fees come in for the case, navigate to the Settlement Tab.
Click the drop-down next to the Settlement Fee line.
Select Referred.
Enter the amount.
Use the Fees In Report and select Referred from the Demand Type drop-down to see the fees that have come in from referred cases.
To track all Referred and Referred Accepted cases, use the Referred Report.
