Void Trust Checks Sent to Actionstep (formerly Soluno)

Updated today

If a trust check needs to be voided, it must be done in Actionstep first and then the void will sync back to CASEpeer. This can only be successfully done if the trust check is still in the Pending section of the Client Trust Management screen.

  • Confirm the Trust Check is still in the Pending section of the Client Trust Management screen.

  • Navigate to the Actionstep Casefile and locate the Client Ledger.

  • On the Client Ledger, locate the check that needs to be voided. Click the pencil icon on the right.

  • Click the Void button on the bottom left and a pop up will appear. Verify the date voided and click OK to void the check in Actionstep.

  • Navigate back to CASEpeer's Client Trust Management screen, Pending section. Locate the voided trust check, and select Sync Actionstep Check Status from the dropdown options.

  • NOTE: You do not have to manually sync check statuses. CASEpeer syncs checks statuses nightly. However, if you want to see the void reflected immediately, you can manually sync it (as instructed above).

  • The check will show in the Disbursed section of the Client Trust Management screen as voided. It will also show on the Settlement Tab of the case as voided.

  • NOTE: If you delete the check in Actionstep, it must be deleted in CASEpeer separately and vice-versa.

  • NOTE: If the check status has been synced from Pending before the check was voided in Actionstep, you will need to manually void the check in CASEpeer.
